Citizens Energy Group Announces Management Changes

Jodi Underwood, previously Director of Human Resources, has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources. Underwood came to Citizens in 2000 and previously served as a Customer Relations Supervisor and Manager. Prior to joining Citizens, Underwood was a Director for the Indianapolis Business Journal and Indianapolis Star.  

Underwood has a bachelor’s in Business Management and Human Resources from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. Underwood recently received her Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) certification. Underwood has also served on the various boards including Connect2Help and the Citizens Warm Heart Warm Home Foundation.
Craig Miles, previously Human Resources Manager, has been promoted to Director of Human Resources. Miles began his career at Citizens in 2004 as a Manager of Projects and Processes within the Human Resources Department. Prior to joining Citizens, Miles worked for Indiana Gas/Vectren Energy for 19 years. 

Miles has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Butler University and his Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) certification.
Jennett Hill has been hired as Vice President and General Counsel. Hill will report to John Whitaker, Senior Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, who will retire at the end of 2013. Hill comes to Citizens as a partner from Faegre Baker Daniels where she focused her practice on nonprofit law, representing organizations exempt from the payment of federal and state income taxes. Prior to joining Citizens, Hill worked for IBM serving in various roles within its Midwestern operation.

Hill has a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and a law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She serves on various community boards including the Eskenazi Health Center, Inc., the Center for Leadership and Development and the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership.
