Citizens facilitated an event on March 2, 2016 at Purdue University to expose students to the interesting and exciting infrastructure work taking place in Indiana in support of the Partnership for Excellence in Research and Learning (PERL).

Citizens’ goal is to encourage more students throughout the state to remain in Indiana after graduation to fill the needs of Citizens and its supporting businesses.

We kicked off the event with an interactive quiz pertaining to the largest infrastructure projects in the country, followed by a description of large infrastructure projects in Indiana and career tips. Citizens representatives provided insight and answered questions about projects such as DigIndy tunnel, Geist quarry reservoir and expansion of our Belmont and Southport plants.

Following our introduction to PERL, several students expressed interest in working in Indiana and at Citizens in particular.
