Volunteer Support Program

Each year, Citizens Energy Group recognizes employees who have volunteered in their communities. We believe that giving back is a very important part of being a good corporate citizen, and we encourage employees to do the same. Employees who volunteer 50 hours or more for an eligible 501(c)(3) organization that fits our criteria* may submit a request for a $250 grant for that organization. Each employee may qualify for one grant per fiscal year. Awards are subject to availability of funds.

* Ineligible groups include organizations that are profit-making; organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or age; religious or political groups; and organizations that promote a hobby.

Please note that if you are a faith-based organization, your program is eligible only if it is open to and used by a cross section of the community. For example, a day care center for seniors that is operated by a faith-based organization yet is available to and used by the general public, is eligible.
