2021

  • Received the Sam Jones “Best of the Best” Award from the 2021 Mayor’s Celebration of Diversity
  • Implemented Diversity & Inclusion Champions for each business area in the organization
  • Created the Diversity & Inclusion Book Club for all employees with the objective to inspire, expand minds, share literature, fellowship, and learn about new things
  • Developed the internal Did You Know? series providing weekly spotlights on historical figures, arts, literature, and community organizations for diversity heritage and awareness months
  • Began partnering with community organizations for Lunch & Learns to bring awareness and educate employees on different diversity & inclusion topics and ways to support the community
  • Launched part 3 of the Open Minds Transform Organizations training
  • Supporting the Business Equity for Indy (BEI) initiative with leadership from BEI Chair and Citizens President & CEO Jeffrey Harrison
  • Participating in the Indy Equity Pledge

2020

  • Received the Diversity in Leadership Award from the 2020 Mayor’s Celebration of Diversity
  • Launched Real Conversations, an internal open-dialogue discussion series to give employees opportunities to engage and learn from one another, as we all bring a lifetime of experiences that add value to the organization
  • Launched part 2 of the Open Minds Transform Organizations training

2019

  • Launched company-wide Open Minds Transform Organizations diversity training for leaders

2018

  • Received the Leadership Diversity Award from the Mayor’s Celebration of Diversity
  • Received the Champion of Diversity Award from the Indiana Minority Business Magazine
  • Vice President of Human Resources was named Chief Diversity Officer
  • Diversity and Inclusion Manager was selected as Diversity Director for Indiana SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management) State Council

2017

  • Received Vanguard ranking of 3.7 of 4.0 on Diversity Value Index
  • Completed successful lunch & learn session on several diversity & inclusion topics

2016

  • Received prestigious ranking of #3 in Top 25 from National Association of ERGs and Councils
  • Partnered with Lions Club to provide eyeglasses for seniors and students
  • Launched corporate-wide diversity training for all employees: The Cultural College - Micro-Messages

2015

  • Received prestigious ranking of #13 in Top 25 from National Association of ERGs and Councils
  • Launched Disability and Veteran Inclusion Program with Tangram Business Resourcing

  • Launched corporate-wide diversity & inclusion training for all employees: Managing Differences

2014

  • New internal team completed Strategic Plan for Diversity & Inclusion to bring a renewed focus to our diversity core value
  • Restructured internal team to execute new Strategic Plan for Diversity & Inclusion and developed sub-teams to focus on action items outlined in the plan
  • Participated in WHMB’s Full Circle interview on overcoming workforce diversity barriers
