Water Service Application


Attention Applicants: We have updated our application and bonding requirements, impacting all contractors involved in the installation of water services and sanitary laterals. All contractors must become a Citizens Energy Group Bonded Contractor by submitting their completed application and securing the bond through their insurance carrier by January 1, 2026. Failure to comply with these requirements will lead to the forfeiture of current permits and render the applicant ineligible for future permits.


A licensed Plumbing Contractor bonded with Citizens, a civil contractor, or a licensed PE from an engineering firm must complete the application.

Before submitting an application, review the Water Standards Manual to ensure compliance with the latest edition.

NOTE:

  • If replacing an existing line, the new tap should be located in the same hole at least 2' from the existing tap.
  • Where static water pressure in the water supply piping is exceeding 80 psi, an approved-type pressure regulator preceded by an adequate strainer shall be installed and the static pressure reduced to 80 psi or less.
