As a major purchaser of goods and services, Citizens Energy Group is committed to increasing opportunities for local small businesses including minority- and women-owned suppliers. We endeavor to build long-lasting relationships with our suppliers, as they are important components of our success. 

Our Procurement Department manages the sourcing and supplier processes for the purchasing of direct and indirect goods and services.

We have developed a strong program to identify qualified suppliers. Our annual spend, both in Tier One and Tier Two categories, has grown due to the concerted efforts of our Procurement Team. We actively search for suppliers who share our values and commitment to quality, integrity and are in full compliance with the law. To become a Citizens supplier, a vendor must practice sound business ethics, as well as good environmental and safety management practices.

We utilize a multi-pronged approach to increase the utilization of diverse suppliers.  Starting with our online Supplier Registration Form that generates our dynamic database, to strategic sourcing, and engaging in community outreach, as well as hosting Citizens Procurement Symposiums, we are facilitating opportunities for businesses to expand their businesses.
