Saturday: Hundreds Will Attend the 12th Annual Be WinterWise Fair

Indianapolis – Citizens Energy Group is inviting the community to its headquarters on Meridian Street on Saturday morning for a fun, interactive and free event designed to teach attendees how to be safe this winter and save money on their utility bill by using energy and water more efficiently. The annual Be WinterWise Fair, in its 12th year, draws hundreds of people to the event.

In addition to learning energy-efficiency tips, the first 400 guests will receive a free smoke detector. Guests will also enjoy entertainment from the Colts cheerleaders and Blue, face painting, food and prizes. More than a dozen social service agencies that provide assistance to those who may need it during the winter months, including United Way’s Energy Assistance Programs, the Indianapolis Fire Department and Mayor’s Advocates, will be on-site.

WHEN:  Saturday, Oct. 8, 9:00 a.m.-noon
WHERE:  Citizens Energy Group Headquarters, 2020 N. Meridian St. – north parking lot
