Annual Chlorine Disinfectant Change

During winter months you may notice a slight “swimming pool” smell in your tap water as a result of Citizens changing disinfectants in your water. This preventative maintenance is done annually to assure the quality of our drinking water. This maintenance is common throughout the drinking water industry and has been put in practice for more than 20 years.
