Backflow Prevention

Backflow Prevention and Device Testing (For Residential Customers)

Recently, Citizens Energy Group (Citizens) began a partnership with ArchonSafe, a leading technology-based backflow management firm, to further enhance efforts to protect the public drinking water supply from backflow contamination. Beginning Spring of 2014, Citizens will only accept required backflow device test results submitted electronically through the new ArchoneSafe web portal or mobile app. All backflow testers must be certified by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), and registered with ArchonSafe prior to submitting testing results. For more information on ArchonSafe, or to register as a tester, please visit ArchonSafe.
